Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Brita 42632 Riviera 64-Ounce Water Pitcher and 1 FilterCustomer Review: great product! Summary: 4 Stars
I really liked the look of this water filter. Very sleek, stainless look, looks great with my stainless appliances. The only thing is that the electronic part on top doesn't work, but that's probably my own fault because I never set it up. Other than that, the water tastes great and it just looks really good in my kitchen! I love it!
Customer Review: Cant get any better, really!! Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great water pitcher! I honestly dont have any complaints. The size fits great in my fridge. I wish the filter would have lasted a lil longer because I am a single guy as opposed to a family drinking water all the time.
It also makes a good impression when u have visitors over at the house.
Customer Review: Brita is still the best Summary: 4 Stars
The pitcher has a great setup for reminding you when to change filters and it looks good.
Only wish is that it held a little more water.
Overall - great!
Customer Review: Not what I'd expected, but good Summary: 3 Stars
I've used many brita pitchers before, and this one works great. The chrome finish on the top is nice (though water-stains easily because when you take it out of the fridge, the top immediately condenses!). The spout at the end is just a bit too broad - if you pour it into a glass fast, the water usually comes out too wide and spills around it - a minor inconvenience.
But, what drew me to the pitcher was the electronic monitor on the top, and what frustrated me the most about the pitcher is that, though I thought the electronic reader monitored the filter and said when it needed to be changed, it actually is just a fancy electronic timer and every two weeks a bar disappears because it assumes you're consuming the water at the rate of a family.
Still, like all Brita pitchers, the water tastes great. I can't really complain.
Customer Review: Skip the bells and whistles.... Summary: 3 Stars
...or, in this case, the electronic display and "sleek" design. This pitcher works as well as any Brita pitcher; there is a great improvement in the taste of our city water. The electronic display is supposed to display the percentage of time remaining until you need to change the filter. This display is of the quality of a digital watch you might get in a cereal box. It stopped working after a couple of months, and now flashes continously, which is a bit annoying. As other reviewers have said, the top cover pieces tend to flop off during pouring. Brita pitchers are great, but next time I will stick to a basic model.
