I read all of the negative reviews about this pitcher before I bought it. I'm glad I didn't listen to them. My old Brita pitcher died when it hurled itself out of the refridgerator onto the floor and cracked up. They don't make the old design anymore. I was a little hesitant to get this one based on the negative reviews, but it was the best fit for me and I can't live without my Brita pitcher. So I bought it. And guess what? All those negative comments about the lid not fitting properly etc. All B.S. The lid fits perfectly, everything about it functions as it should. Plus I like the new electronic timer that tells you when you need to change the filter. There is nothing wrong with this pitcher.Customer Review: Brita review

Brita works like a dream. Had a Brita years ago when we lived in an area where sulfur was in the water. Couldn't drink it; made you think of rotten eggs. Worked well. Then we moved and our Brita pitcher got lost in the shuffle. Never fear, no more problems, or so I thought. Lately I had noticed a taste in the water, but couldn't put my finger on it. Have been using the Brita for a few weeks and WOW! What a difference. I really like the new slim design and the tab where you just push to put water in.(The old one we had to take the whole lid off.) Of course our old one was "ancient", but it's nice to see that Brita has kept improving a product I never thought needed improvement.Customer Review: Read The Instructions

I have had this Aqualux Water Pitcher for a couple of months now, and the only way I could duplicate the problems other reviewers have written about was to do everything wrong. It works exactly as described if you read and follow the directions; soak the new filter then rinse it under running water; do not attempt to pour while the reservoir is still full; when filling the reservoir, do not allow the water to hit directly on the filter; etc. I use this pitcher all day long every day and have not had a single problem. The water tastes great, and my tea and coffee taste better than ever. Do not be put off by the negative reviews - this is a great little pitcher and a great value.Customer Review: crystal clear water

I bought this Brita water pitcher after reviewing a lot of filtration devices. This was one cost-effective product that was said to remove copper and other minerals. I have well water that's tested regularly for micro-organisms and its clean that way, but not for minerals. Basically my water was undrinkable, always had a scum on it. I knew there was copper and iron in it because my tub would turn blue. I don't of course use this filter for filling my bath tub. Now after almost one month daily use, my water is good to drink, to make coffee and no scum. I am glad I bought extra filters so when this runs out, a new one is ready.
I would definitely recommend this.

I have been using my Brita Aqualux Water Pitcher for over a month now, and just love it!! Although our water is Marin County is just fine, the taste of this filtered water is tops! The pitcher is easy to use and to refill. I don't need to use ice, as the water is always cold. I bake a lot of sour dough bread, so the filtered water is perfect for this. I no longer find myself buying water in plastic bottles, which is much better for the environment, as plastic bottles are often re-cycled overseas, which doesn't make a lot of sense. I highly recommend everyone owning a Brita pitcher. I am hooked, and my family really likes the taste of the water, as well.
