Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Brita 42378 Deluxe Water Pitcher

Customer Review: Best water I've ever had
Summary: 5 Stars

Brita water is so good I won't drink tap water anymore anywhere! I've bought one for myself (I also have the small water bottle by brita) one for my mom in Toronto (for when i visit) and one for my mom in law in New York for when I visit there! It is really great and the fact that I can see the difference in the water and in the color of my teas and coffee is the real clincher. I would reccomend this or any Brita pitcher to everyone.

I personally have this model and it is so easy to fill with the flip top. Also the rubber grip makes holding the pitcher comfortable and effortless. It gets a little heavy when it is full but maybe I'm just weak. Since we've bought it I drink so much more water (which is a good thing) and I love the taste.

Customer Review: Worth your money
Summary: 5 Stars

I am not a water tasting pro, but the difference btwn Brita filtered water and tap water is highly noticeable. Brita filtred water taste great for me and my 3 rooommates.

It fits well in the fridge, it's easy to refill under the sink, it's durable, easy to maintain, easy to start using...

The only consideration with this particular filter is that it's inexpensive so it's not designed for heavy usage. Four people use my Brita filter and a full filter could only fill about three large glasses. Thus, if four people are going to use this filter, they will have to refill many times to keep its water supply adequate for everyone else.

Customer Review: Great price and works well
Summary: 5 Stars

For $25 Amazon has a great price for this Brita pitcher. The prep for these pitchers is more than I thought but easy. You can't just pour water in and start drinking. You have to soak the filter for 15 minutes, wash the pitcher in and out, then run two full pitchers before drinking your first cup.

The water does taste different than my tap. This pitcher requires two full reservoirs to fill the pitcher. The reservoir filters water in about 3-4 minutes.

A filter is supposed to last 2 months (at two full pitchers a day). Amazon sells a 3 pack for about $17, so about $5.50 for a month's worth of purified water.

Customer Review: This Brita is the Bomb
Summary: 5 Stars

All I have to say is that this Brita is one of the best purchases I have ever made. You can't put a price on freezing cold water on a hungover morning. I have two homes, one in LA and one in NYC, and I have a this Brita in both. The tap water in either place is not particularly good however the Brita removes the lead flavor and replaces it with tasty water goodness. In NYC, a large poland springs bottle from the deli (nice and cold) is about $2.25 on averages, so what's $25 for never having to leave the home for tasty water awesomeness. The perfect hangover remedy, while offering well needed hydration. Indeed the bomb!

Customer Review: Great!
Summary: 5 Stars

First I'd like to say... if you can't lift a few quarts of water then do not buy a water pitcher.

This pitcher/filter works great! It does exactly as it claims... it filters the water.

Pro's to having a Brita filtering water pitcher:
Clean, drinkable water.
No more lugging cases of bottled water up to my apartment.
No more being responsible for filling the landfills with plastic bottles.
Saves money!
Water pitcher + aluminum sports bottle = convience
Less likely to get cancer.
Cons:
Have to turn on tap and fill pitcher.
