Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Brita 42364 SpaceSaver Pitcher

Customer Review: Brita 2-Quart Space Saver Pitcher
Summary: 5 Stars

Works great; there really isn't anything that can go wrong with it, like the faucet attach filters. It is much better for my dorm room's refridgerator than the 3 quart pitcher, because of the smaller size.

Customer Review: Space Space, Save Money w/ the SpaceSaver
Summary: 4 Stars

The Brita SpaceSaver did exactly what I wanted and expected it to do. Provided me with crystal clear and great tasting water but also saving space in my fridge. I will personally vouch that the taste is great.

One minor setback of this pitcher is the lid did not fit snug/flush to the pitcher itself. I haven't noticed any leaking/spills from it, and had already knew about the small imperfection. I didn't want to go through the hastle of getting a replacement top because it's not a problem at all. Note to new Brita users: Do not pour water when water is remained unfiltered in the above resorvoir or YOU WILL SPILL EVERYWHERE!

I rated the product overall a 4/5 because it was cost efficient, saved space in my small apartment fridge, and only had the lid setback. I have referred this exact pitcher to all of my friends in the same living situation as me, and those that are just trying to save a dime.

Customer Review: Decent quality product...
Summary: 4 Stars

All right, so the pitcher that the filter comes with, is literally a $1 store special--very very cheap plastic prone to leaking, BUT, the filter seems to work great and will make your water drinkable. One caveat, when your filter starts to get full, and you pour water, it'll likely leak a bit, which is super annoying (goes back to the cheap pitcher). So you can avoid this by not filling it to the brim.

Another reviewer mentioned bits of charcoal in the water, I have not had this problem at all. This could be because he did not soak his filter for 15 minutes in water before first time use. Or it could be because he got a bad filter.

The things has saved me a ton of money on bottled water, so I'd recommend it for anyone in NYC who doesn't trust the sometimes brown flowing water. But if you're used to your tap water, you might just want to save the money and the hassle.

Customer Review: My fix for the loose lid-
Summary: 4 Stars

I like the size and shape of this pitcher. Agreed that the lid design is poor. What I have done to keep the lid secured in place is use a few strips of scotch tape. A couple on each side near the front, and a couple near the rear. Once the filter is in place, the lid doesn't really need to be removed until it's time to change the filter again. Just open the pop-up hatch to add water to the reservoir from the tap. Pour with abandon, the lid will not fall off. Not the most elegant, but simple and working well for me.

Customer Review: These people are morons
Summary: 4 Stars

The LID never comes off! You have to adjust it so that it fits right in (Which takes a whole 2 seconds), but once you do, the filter works perfectly. Some of these people with the Lid problems must be borderline retarded.

No negative aspects about the filter. Thumbs up for me!
