Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Brita 35503 Pitcher Replacement Water Filter Cartridges, 3-PackCustomer Review: Micron rating of filter cartridge Summary: 1 Stars
I noticed that the Brita cartridges did not take out a lot of color from the water I put in. Later I found out that it was rated Class 5 on NSF's scale - by looking up the NSF site, Class 5 means 85% reduction of particles between 30 to 50 microns. The scale is a 6-step scale with Class 1 being the best. After checking with the Greater Vancouver Water District, our sediment particle size in the water averages 2.5 microns - No wonder the water coming through the cartridges is still yellowish brown in color!
Customer Review: Horrible taste! Summary: 1 Stars
So it has been a little over 2 months since I bought the Brita 3-pack filters. I read a lot of reviews to make sure this is the real deal. Within the first week of use, I noticed little black particles in the filter. I've read that this may happen at the beginning, so I thought okay, let it be. It never went away. What is worse is that now, the water tastes really bad! It did taste good at first, but now it is just horrible. My roommate started buying bottled water instead. I am very disappointed.
Customer Review: filter does not work as good Summary: 1 Stars
this filters filter my water but not as good as the original I got in my pitcher. Seems like it uses a different material inside to make the job. My water taste still a little bad after filtering... I will try another kind next time and will not buy this one again. I wish theire was a way to know if it was an imitation of the original filters before buy this. Do not waster your money on this ones...
Customer Review: Do Not Buy on Amazon Summary: 1 Stars
Do not buy these filters on Amazon - they come misshapen and damaged will not work in the Brita pitcher. I have never had any trouble with Brita filters bought in a store, but I had to throw away two of the filters bought on Amazon because they wouldn't fit in the pitcher.
Customer Review: Green slime in Brita pitcher Summary: 1 Stars
I have been using a Brita pitcher for years but with the last two boxes of filters, a green slime grew in the pitcher after less than a month of use. I've heard the Brita faucet filter attachments are worse. I'm looking for another product.
